potential thesis you can change/make better- Thesis: Examining the point of view of Dana Brownlee and Evan Gerstmann on cancel culture
presents a strong case for its own cancellation. Brownlee calls attention to the biases and
uneven consequences in cancel culture, noting its roots in historical systems of oppression.
Gerstmann adds to this by explaining out how it undermines free speech and the concerning
pattern of penalizing people for their past deeds or harmless actions. Their combined analyses
argue for the abolition of cancel culture to ensure true responsibility, encourage meaningful
conversation, and build a fairer, more welcoming community.
