At Alpha
Zulu, one of the safety programs under the Safety Department is the Internal
Evaluation Program (IEP). The objective of the IEP is to monitor and evaluate
Alpha Zulu’s compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and
procedures at the company. Your teammate recently went to The Daytona Beach
International Airport for an audit. While at the airport, she took this picture
of the ramp from the gate’s window: Put Safety First – Be Airside Aware (PDF)/Waterloo

Overview
1.
The ramp at an airport is an active place!
Take a few minutes to observe the activity that is currently happening there.
2.
Choose three to four hazards. List the hazard
and the consequence of the hazard in the Hazard Identification chart.
3.
Use the Risk Matrix and definitions from ICAO
Doc 9859 (in this worksheet) to assess the risk for each consequence and record
it in this worksheet.
4.
For each consequence, identify mitigations
you can put in place to lower the risk level.
5.
Use your assessment to justify a request for
additional resources to your Vice President of Safety and Accountable
Executive.
