Introduction
Education, religion, government, family, healthcare, and economy are social institutions. Sociology explores the impact of these social institutions on society and culture. You will explore the impact of education and religion on society and a personal level.

What are the major types of religious organizations?
What are the major trends or changes in the United States religion in the 21st century?

Part 3: Reflection
Answer the following questions in 1-2 paragraphs.
How has education changed/can change your opportunities?
What challenges have you faced with education? Some examples might include pursuing higher education, completing education, or lack of educational opportunities.
What role does religion play in your life, family, or culture?
