Week Eleven: World Leader Animated Video
Provide an introduction that states who you are, the name of your fictional country, and where it is located.
Share what makes your country great and what you do to ensure justice for every citizen.
Share which sociological perspective you feel best fits your view of a just country and how it should be run (functionalist, conflict, or symbolic interactionist).
Provide a conclusion to your video that shows the importance of justice and its impact on society.
You must include your name at the end of your video to prove it is your personal work.
When complete, upload your video to the assignment drop box in Canvas, or submit the website address of your personal animated video.  If you do not have the “Share” option, explore the options provided within the Manage Exports tab.
Submission Instructions:
To create a video as seen above, go to powtoon.com and set up a free account. Once that is done, you will click on “Explainer Video” under “What type of Powtoon would you like to create?”. You’ll then choose which one you would like to use (5 video tips, whiteboard explainer, meet Jane). Click on your choice (use). It will take you to a screen with slides, much like what you would see when creating a PowerPoint presentation. Hover your mouse over the first slide on the main page and begin replacing the text and images with whatever you choose to use.
Once you have completed your video, make sure it is saved.
Click on the “Preview & Export” link in the top right corner of your screen. This will allow you to download your video creation.
Once this is complete you will be able to go back into your account and click on the video you created under the “My Powtoons” link at the top of the screen.
When you Click on your video it will take you to the screen that just has your creation. Underneath it will be ways to “share” your video. Copy and paste the “embed” code.
Click on the “Insert/edit media” link. Click on “Embed”.
Paste the code in the blank space. Click “okay”.
If you only have the “Manage Exports” option, you can choose to download your video and upload it to the assignment area, or you can share the URL.
If you choose to share your URL rather than use the embed code, be sure “edit” is not in the address.
