As I mentioned in class today, here is link to a story that you will be asked to analyze as part of your final exam. Read it and think about what this has to do with what we are discussing in class. Some questions (of the many you should be considering!!!) are: Who is the source, Do you trust it, and What does this say about who we are today? Start from there and keep going. There is a lot to say.

You can make your judgments about the merits of Beyonce as a “country” artist and add them to your analysis, if you are inclined. She has many collaborators on the tracks. I posted some random tracks below as a sampling, but listen to as many as you want.:
