As a teacher, it is likely you will need to be able to define your teaching philosophy. That may happen during an interview or while networking with other teachers. If you took EDU/301: Foundations of Education, you began developing your personal teaching philosophy, which highlighted your beliefs about students’ and teachers’ roles in education. For this assignment, you will focus on developing the classroom-management portion of your personal teaching philosophy. Your personal teaching philosophy will grow and change as your values evolve; therefore, it will be important for you to frequently revisit your philosophy.

Create a 6- to 8-slide presentation of your philosophy on classroom management for a potential teacher interview panel. Address the following questions in your presentation:
How do you define classroom management and discipline?
How do you define appropriate behavior, respect, and safety in kindergarten through 6th-grade settings?
Why is it important to have an effective classroom-management plan?
What personal, social, and educational experiences or beliefs have shaped your personal classroom-management philosophy?
What role should learners’ families/caregivers, cultural norms, and community play in a classroom-management plan?
To what extent does your concept of appropriate behavior align with your perception of how current students typically behave in school?
Cite 3 to 5 references to support your assignment and format your citations and references according to APA guidelines.
Formatting Requirements
Include the following components in your presentation:
Comprehensive speaker notes for your slides or recorded voiceover in your presentation
Graphics or images to make it visually appealing

I believe in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students can learn something. My desire as a future educator is to cater to each student’s learning style to help them reach their full potential. All Students are capable of learning at their own pace.
