As a professional counselor,
you will be expected to develop a personal theoretical model of counseling
that provides a framework for working with clients. The initial start will be
considering how clients change. The theorists you will be reading about select
from among the three different focuses when working with clients: behavior
(doing), cognitions (thinking), and affect (feeling). What are your
thoughts about how clients change with regards to behavor, cognitions, and
affect? Identify one or more that applies to your belief about client change.
You will need to include 3 or more scholarly resources that support your
viewpoint.
The paper must be in the most
recent APA edition format. All papers need a title page, body with (at least 2
full pages) and reference section all in APA style. Please use complete
sentences, appropriate grammar, spelling, and references. Please be sure to
avoid using Internet sources such as Wikipedia or other web-based resources
that do not have strong academic backing. You will also be required to use
in-text references in your work in accordance with APA style to avoid
plagiarism. Plagiarism detection software will be used to scan each paper and
any paper that is determined to have academic integrity issues will earn a
score of 0 automatically and possibly additional sanctions. Your papers need to
be submitted to Safeassign.
