An eight page (minimum), double-spaced, typewritten paper on your sport organization. Papers will be graded on detail, content, professionalism (including proper and timely submission), and format.
Format and submission instructions:
All margins should be one-inch
Papers must be double-spaced using 12- point font
APA format must be used for citations
The paper must be posted to the D2L Dropbox
The paper should have a professional appearance and should incorporate the headings listed below (centered and on the top of a new page)
Title Page, Table of Contents, and the Reference Page(s) do not count towards the eight-page requirement.

Table of Contents
History of the organization
Governance structure, organizational structure, and staff. Using what you have learned in class, plus your independent research, describe how the organization is governed and organized. Include the names of its top executives and briefly explain their function within the organization
Mission, Values, and Goals of the Organization
Financial Information- Explain in detail how the organization realizes its income and what type of expenditures it produces.
Membership/Stakeholders- Explain who is involved in/with the organization and how they are involved (i.e. fans, coaches, management, players, the league, etc.)
Policy Issues- Describe some of the key issues that the organization is facing and how it is handling those issues. Include examples of policy development. Examples: drug testing, athlete pay, participation, cannabis use.
Career Development- Identify the common career path and the common entry-level positions within the organization. Include an actual job listing from the organization in your appendices.
References- This paper requires a minimum of 5 references. For a project of this magnitude, finding 5 references should not be a stumbling block. Remember, to avoid plagiarism, all information used to write your paper must be cited within the text (APA format), and then listed in APA format on the reference page.
Appendices- These are a required part of the paper. They should include supporting documentation and may include sample forms, reports, or other information from your organization. For example, graphs of revenue or a formal job positing can go here. They go at the end of your paper, after the references.
