All you have to do is write a follow up to this: Growing up, I thought my family was typical. But I had no idea of the struggles that I would face in the future. My family was dysfunctional. My parents were
emotionally unavailable. Since they adopted me, they had planted a feeling of insecurity and inferiority, making me feel as if I was stuck in a dark and lonely
prison. Whenever I expressed my opinion, they would criticize me and make me feel small and unimportant. Eventually, I became so used to their behavior’s
toll on me that I felt this was my only reality. This oppressive environment finally drove me away from my parent’s house. When I turned 19, I finally had
enough and decided to leave my parent’s home, even though I could not support myself I had no other choice. My relationship with my parents had taken a
turn for the worse. We no longer had a meaningful dialogue, as I had grown tired of the emotional abuse. My father’s rising temper and my mother’s short
temper had made it hard for me to thrive in their home. They would consistently tell me what a mistake I was and how they couldn’t wait to throw me out
onto the street. Fortunately, I found a home with a friend, where I could stay for free until I could support myself. I am now working part-time at Lowe’s and
saving as much money as possible to afford my apartment eventually. The last time I had contact with my parents was December 14th, 2022. After deep
breathing, I stared at them and said goodbye. Leaving my parent’s home was the hardest decision I have ever had to make. It was a huge step and made me
realize how silver linings exist even in the darkest clouds. I am no longer held captive by their toxic and oppressive behavior.
What you are going to be writing about is a follow up to that paragraph all you have to do is explain that you still feel that way and that nothing had changed that you still have not had contact with parents and etc
