Activity Desсrіption
Develop the first section from the outline developed in activity one. It is recommended that you write a brief section of 3-5 pages with a minimum of 8 articles and submit for review by your Chair to ensure you are on track with writing the literature review. As you write this section, keep in mind the components of the theory you selected to serve as a lens for your study as you will be tying theory in at the end of the chapter. Focus on current research to provide a representation of the most up to date information. Synthesis can be a challenge so keep in mind the goal is to show agreement on topics, issues, or findings across studies and note disagreements where they exist. Remember a literature review should be a balanced and objective presentation of the science and free from bias and opinion. Submit the work to this assignment so your Chair can provide guidance on the discussion of research. Comprehensive feedback by you Chair will be ongoing to help develop a strong literature review. Expect feedback on APA style, content, and writing quality. Follow the structure below for this task and each major section of the literature.

1st Paragraph
Each section and sub-section will have an introduction. Provide the aim and scope of your discussion. What is the intent for this section of the review? Provide the context for your discussion. Narrow your focus to provide a logical and thorough discussion of the topic. Your intent should be clear. What are the key elements, issues, or challenges that serve as a foundation for your academic discourse? Based on the context provided, what are the two or three discussion points you will present? Clearly establish your approach to this section of the literature review.

2nd paragraph and beyond
Assert the first topic and synthesize the research regarding the topic. Synthesis involves the presentation of agreement on issues or outcomes found across studies. Focus on the prevalent themes or findings identified from two or three studies. This agreement represents a pattern of knowledge that gives credence to the stability of what is known. As you synthesize, keep in mind synthesis also involves disagreement that may be found. For example, it is possible that three or four studies on the use of medication show agreement that it is necessary for stabilizing an individual’s mental condition, however there may be disagreement on how long the individual is prescribed the medication or the amount of counseling/therapy provided. This disagreement should be presented to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the reviewed research. Provide a closing paragraph prior to beginning a new section.

Discussion for Section: This section will be used to close out each major section by presenting conclusions on the research presented through discussions of the strengths and weaknesses of the studies presented. Also, there should be a focus on any identified gaps in the research on the topic.
Each major section should be approximately 10-14 pages.
