A reflective journal and does not really need sources. I shall add the documents below needed for this assignment. The directions from the Professor is below verbatim.
“For this Reflective Journal, we are going to observe OTHERS, and similarly record what made them happy and what made them unhappy. I suggest you choose a day when you will be around people rather than studying in your room. You can observe them on a bus or subway, walking on the street, interacting with them at work, interacting with those in your family, interacting with those in your community. Feel free to continue recording your own responses to others, since while you are the observer, you still are a member of your family, community, and world.
As in the previous assignment, keep your journal in a notebook so that when you’re finished you can type the information into the space provided. Don’t do an attachment.
Focus on details, record them throughout the day, there should be many. Avoid “remembering” a past day and then analyzing it. This journal is about this day you are experiencing from morning until night, all the little things that we usually ignore.
At the end of the journal entry, I’d like you to do an assessment of this one day of your life and what it indicates about the following:
a) What makes people happy
b) What makes people unhappy
c) What did you observe about certain groups specifically: children, males, females, family, community, workplace. While you will probably not have enough observation within the course of a day to draw conclusions about all these groups, choose those you have had observations of.
In your assessment, make sure to refer to two films and three course documents in Unit 6 which explain some of the behaviors you have observed.”
