You must complete TWO Topic Assignmentswithin the course and there are TWO deadlines for submitting the assignment which you must keep to.Each of these essayswill represent 10 % of your final grade for the course. The titles for these essays can be found on each topic webpage.These essays should be a minimum of 1,500 words(6 double-spaced pages, not including references) to answer them comprehensively. Graduate students, those enrolled in 548, should have essays with a minimum of 3,000 words.Deadlines for Submitting Module Essays:
DEADLINE 2. SUNDAY MAY 9 – 11.59pm ETThe deadline to submit (via CANVAS) any ONE topic assignments from Topic Assignment #8 through #12.Each topic assignment deadline will be proceeded by an ‘essay writing week’ wherein student will have an opportunity to meet with the lead instructor to receive a one-on-one tutorial to help improve/edit/perfect their essay.PLEASE NOTE:A student can only schedule a tutorial if they have demonstrated sufficient thought with their essay.PLEASE NOTE: Once the deadline has passed, you will not be able to submit topic assignments through the CANVAS website, and late topic assignments will not receive credit. You will submit each module essays on the appropriate page of the ASSIGNMENTS sectionon the CANVAS/ELMSwebsite for this course. The module essays will be submitted via an“MS Word attachment” on the Assignment Page of the CANVAS/ELMS website.Structure of Module Essays:
Each module essay submitted via the CANVAS/ELMS website should include the following elements: Essay Number and “Title” (not included within the 1,500/3,000 word count)
Body of Text: A minimum of a 1,500/3,000 word response to the questions posed by the assignment (structured according to the evaluation criteria outlined below)
A full Reference Listincluding all the works cited (either through direct quotation or paraphrasing) in the body of the assignment. This Reference List should use the format outlined in the Style and Format page of the course website.
