A large part of this course is gaining real-life experience using Applied Behavior Analysis. This journal will serve as a method the reflect on your experiences over the past few weeks at your supervision site. Please answer each question thoroughly and thoughtfully so that your instructor can gauge your experience.
A complete hour log will include the following:
ENGAGEMENT: The hour log will include engagement in appropriate supervision activities as defined in the Supervision Manual.
REFLECTION: The student will provide a thorough contemplation on current level of practice, areas of improvement, and application of skills.
RELEVANCE: The learning experience being reflected upon is relevant to the topic given.
ANALYSIS: The reflection moves beyond simple description of the experience to an analysis of how the experience contributed to understanding of self, others, and/or course concepts.
INTERCONNECTIONS: The reflection demonstrates connections between your field experience, past experience; and/or personal goals.
SELF-AWARENESS: The reflection demonstrates ability of the student to question their own biases, stereotypes, preconceptions, and/or assumptions and define new modes of thinking as a result.

Field Experience Journal
It is required that you spend 5–32.5 hours each week (or 10-65 bi-weekly) engaging in appropriate field experience activities as defined by the BACB (www.bacb.com) during the 16 week course enrollment. If you are enrolled in an 8 week section of the course (850 or 852) or a 10 week summer section then you are required to spend a minimum of 10-32.5 hours each week (or20-65 bi-weekly) engaging in field experience activities
