Prepare a historiography paper (eight to ten pages, double-spaced) related to the children of the Japanese internment camps and how they persevered.
Your historiography paper should identify and analyze key scholarly works that frame your chosen research topic. It should demonstrate a critical and insightful reading of the major secondary sources that you consulted and an awareness of the key arguments and perspectives scholars have advanced over time. You should also discuss how the work relates to your research project. You need not discuss all secondary sources equally, and in fact you should not. Some secondary sources are more important than others, so you should emphasize those works that are the most significant in the field and/or the most significant for your subject.
Cite quotes, opinions, and information unique to a source with footnotes in Chicago Manual of Style Actions format. Include a bibliography, also in Chicago Manual of Style format. Also, please include include in your bibliography not only the secondary sources you mention briefly or discuss in detail in your historiography paper, but all of the relevant secondary sources on your topic. Typically, there are perhaps three or four secondary sources that are most important in defining your topic, but these fit into a context of ten or more (sometimes much more).
