The main objective of the study is to detect how start-ups in Saudi Arabia use social media engagement. More specifically, understanding how of using SME effectively is being to enable start-ups to achieve competitive advantage. At the same time, the research will be intended to examine the barriers (i.e lack of training, knowledge and time). By comparing the enabling and barriers of social media engagement. that use by Saudi entrepreneurs it will provide better understanding of how start-ups in Saudi Arabia use social media engagement.
As this is an area which is still relatively under-researched. It is hoped that the findings of the research will provide founders, co-founders, potential entrepreneurs and social media specialist at the Saudi start-ups with useful insights on how they could enable social media engagement within their startups and identify how the possible barriers that could be overcome.
The research will intend to answer these questions:
1- How do Saudi start-ups use social media engagement?
2- What are the effective social media engagement methods for enabling Saudi start-ups?
3- What are the ineffective methods of social media engagement creating barriers for Saudi start-ups?
