next assignment: Annotated Bibliography
An important step in writing your literature review is creating an annotated bibliography, which is a quick look at the important information you need to know about your topic. This assignment helps you accomplish some critical things as you work on your project:
Evaluate the credibility of your scholarly sources
Become fully informed about your topic
Practice writing in APA style/format
Prepare you to be successful on your literature review
INSTRUCTIONS
Write and submit your annotated bibliography here. Your annotated bibliography should include answers to the following components for each source, of which you should have eight for this assignment (a minimum of three should focus on ethical perspectives of your problem):
The full scholarly source in APA format
The question or problem addressed
Conclusions or recommendations
Evaluation of the source’s usefulness in informing your project
Your annotated bibliography should be in APA format. You do not need a title page or running head. You do need properly formatted citations and references.
NOTE: This is a Turnitin assignment. Please review your Turnitin similarity report to make sure it has less than 15% similarity. Even if you have properly cited and referenced your sources, a similarity score higher than 15% indicates you need to use more of your own words to complete the assignment. Notify your instructor and revise, then resubmit.
You will be assessed using the Annotated Bibliography Rubric and will be able to move forward when you receive a minimum of 70% on this assignment. If you receive less than a 70%, review the feedback provided and revise your assignment. Attach your revised document to the “Assignment Comments” so your instructor can review and resubmit to Turnitin. When you earn the required score, you may move on to the next activity.
The ethical problem / perspective :
The point is a good point, but the purpose of an ethical perspective must be first to posit the question. Here the question is whether people with mental disorders are entitled to be treated the same as other with respect to equal rights. On the one hand, they are, as human beings, entitled to the same rights accorded to everyone. On the other hand, there are significant questions as to whether these individuals are capable of exercising these rights responsibly and in a way that does not put themselves and/or others in harm’s way. Only after stating the ethical issue can you then propose your own answer, which is yes they should (and the response should be supported by reasons and evidence).
