My name is Carey. I don’t even know why the teacher asked me to come see a counselor. I don’t have much to say. The teacher just said you could talk with me about how things are going for me. One of the other guys dared me to do it. So I did.

Counselor: It seems you’re not clear why you’re here seeing me. Sounds like you are wondering if it might be somehow connected to your teacher being concerned when she saw you at the bus stop this morning with a beer.
Counselor: Having a beer in your hand at the bus stop this morning seems like no big deal for you as it was after a dare to drink it . . . yet, the concern from your teacher prompted her to ask you to meet with me.

Counselor: It seems like I sense mixed reactions to you talking with me about having a beer at the bus stop.
