Plan to Implement Changes
This is for internship. Its what I am
actually doing or will be doing. Therefore, no reference is needed as it an
actual activity.
Educational Institution, K-12 Cafeteria staff
Develop measurable goals and objectives to guide
comprehensive health education/promotion program planning. This will include
setting (SMART) objectives.
Conduct an intervention using the Health Belief Model
to address the needs of the cafeteria staff this will be done in two to three
workshop presentations.
For Workshops
(Workshops should have objectives)
· Cafeteria
staff: develop and implement workshop for cafeteria staff
focusing on nutritional education, food safety and healthy food options.
·
Cafeteria staff and teachers: advocate
with staff to train students by focusing on the importance of balanced diets
and making healthier food choices. Short presentations on topics like eating
fruits and vegetables. (Please
make mention that this will be done using posters, brochures and videos….). I
have these already, just mention them in the presentation.
Note:
Based on observation- Needs Assessment
· It was discovered that
the cafeteria staff needs to promote healthy eating habits among students more
regularly.
· The
main challenges faced with implementing healthier food options in the cafeteria
was students’ preferences, a result sometimes food gets wasted.
· Educational
and Promotional Need – Nutritional Education, integrate
educational programs to cafeteria staff to educate students about healthy
eating habits the importance of nutrition.
Eg. posters, brochures, videos, PowerPoint
presentation and sample “MyPlate” plates.
