July 6, 2024

You can choose from Courts or law enforcement and choose a criminal theory that goes with your choice. I did Paper 1 in Corrections, hence can’t use that.
During Week 8, the student will submit a paper with a 20-30 page body on one current criminal justice theory impacting one of the two previously unselected criminal justice pillars. The student will select one of the two remaining criminal justice pillars, law enforcement, courts, or corrections, select a prevailing criminal justice theory in that pillar, and explain the impact of that theory on the operations that particular pillar. The selection of the pillar and the related theory is up to the student. The student is encouraged to and recommend to reach out to the course faculty member to ensure the theory and pillar meets the criteria for this course. The faculty member is the voice to determine if the theory and pillar meet the criteria. The student should seek confirmation on this prior to submitting the graded work.

Your opinion does not determine your grade. Your grade is determined by how well you support your argument utilizing the materials discussed in this program and the supporting materials you locate. What I do not want is a regurgitation of what is in a text or supporting materials. Expand on the materials, do not repeat them. Document your facts utilizing standard APA style. This paper is to be submitted to me as indicated on the Course Schedule and Grading Policy Summary Table. The paper is to be in the citation format of your program and the body of the paper is to be between 20 and 30 pages. The body of the paper does not include the title page, table of contents, appendix or references. This is to be of high quality, free of spelling and grammatical errors, and of original work. Plagiarism will be dealt with harshly. You are to title your paper by your last name. For example, a paper would be called “smith.docx” with “.docx” being the MS Word file extension. You are to submit your paper by uploading it to appropriate assignment in the course site prior to the due date as indicated in the Course Schedule and Grading Policy Summary Table.
Your paper will be structured in the following manner and consist of the following pages/sections:
Title page (not included towards page count)
Table of contents (not included towards page count)
Abstract (not included towards page count)
