Typed Outline: Submit a 2-page typed outline in the correct format.
Integrate five sources indicated in bold and parentheses where citations are
planned during the speech (I will be given out loud). Refer to the (example
outline) provided below. Use the outline as a template and format your speech
outline like the example that I mentioned. Unlike informative speech, where
you just give information about your topic, (persuasive speech) requires that
you choose one side of an issue and PERSUADE the audience to agree with you. End
the outline with a quotation like the example outline.
(Remember you’re not telling both
sides of the story but you’re choosing one side of the story and you’re going
to stick with that and persuasive the audience to agree with you. For example,
Martin Luther King speech was one of the greatest speeches). The topic must be
convincing to us, like you believe in it. Just like Martin Luther King said (I
have a dream!) and he did not say (I think I have a dream). It can be a dramatic
speech with emotions or a sad speech. Please write a topic that is caring and
can be deliver with some element of passion with emotions, and sadness. Avoid
the following topics, balanced budget, federal deficit, capital punishment,
abortion, homophobia, transgender, skin color, discrimination, racism.

The speech should be organized
into five main parts:

III-CAUSES
IV-SOLUTIONS
V-CONCLUSION
RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS
The speech must have a minimum of 5 sources
from newspapers, magazines, or scholarly journals.
No website/URL sources are
allowed. The sources must be
in (parentheses,
bold, and underlined) in the outline you turn in.
If an article is published in the New York
Times online, it is also published in hard copy. Just cite it like a regular
published source (According to the New York Times, January 10, 2021).
