Texas is unique because it has a Governor in the executive branch and six other members who comprise the Plural Executive. These positions are often independently elected and play an essential role in Texas Government.
Imagine that you are the head of the state Human Resources office and have been tasked with writing a job description for one of the five members of the Texas Plural Executive. For this assignment, you will choose one of the five plural executive members listed below and write a job description for that position. The job description should include answers to the six questions found below. Answers for each question should be fully developed and should be between four to six sentences in length. Please cite all sources in MLA format. Please do not copy and paste information about the position from the internet; put content in your own words.
Plural Executive Positions: Texas Secretary of State, Texas Agricultural Commissioner, Texas Land Commissioner, Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, or the Texas Attorney General.

4) Would the position interact with other members of the plural executive? If yes, please explain what those interactions would be. If no, please explain why no interactions would occur.
5) How does one come to hold this position? (Elected or appointed) If elected, what type of election (partisan or non-partisan)? If appointed, by whom?
