June 21, 2024

Review all of the Course Notes, Readings, Nelson’s and Stott’s texts, and your theologyofwork.org posts, for this course. In your review pay attention to things that God by his Spirit has opened to you in a powerful way this semester–new discoveries, new clarity, ‘building block’ ideas or methodologies that impact other issues, strong applications you hadn’t seen, etc. Write one page (single-spaced) about the significant issue, identifying the issue and recounting why was it significant for you. For this part of the Capstone Project you will submit one page.
There are two parts to this second part of the Capstone Project:
Presentation
Response
For the first part, Presentation, write 2-pages (single-spaced) about where you see a Theology of Work as most applicable in the workplace. How does a theology of work most contribute to a Christian “leading for Christ” in the workplace, in your opinion? Write as if you are passing this information along to another Christian at your place of work. What is the Biblical basis of what you’re sharing? To what situations at work might it apply directly or indirectly? Are there ways to develop the concepts beyond what you encountered in the course material? Be sure and to include any relevant impact from reading the Incomparable Christtextbook (Stott) at this point as well. (Note: For students in the MM for Non-profit program, be sure to bring these questions in the first part to your work in the non-profit context.)
For the second part, Response, you will need to actually share your thoughts with another Christian and then write a brief account (0.5 pages single-spaced) of the conversation. How were your thoughts received? What directions did the conversation take from them? Any challenges, development, or parts that could be stronger? Etc.
Part of the assessment for this project will include your accounting for having viewed all of the Lecture Videos of this course. Account for your viewing of the Lecture Videos by including a statement in your Capstone Project: “I have/have not viewed all the Lecture Videos for this course.” Not viewing all the Lecture Videos will mean a deduction of 30 points from the final grade of the Capstone Project.
