Begin by researching recent federal government actions taken against the state of Texas. These actions could include executive orders, legislative decisions, or legal challenges initiated by federal agencies or the federal government as a whole.
Identify Key Actions:
Identify and select at least three recent federal government actions specifically targeting policies, laws, or practices in Texas. These actions could relate to areas such as immigration, healthcare, environmental regulations, voting rights, or education. Make sure to keep up with your sources in order to cite. Usually websites ending in .gov or .edu
are credible.
Part 2: Analysis
Research and Contextualize:

Implications for Texas:
Analyze and discuss the potential implications of each federal action on the state of Texas (of the ones you found from part 1). Consider how these actions may impact:

State and local governments’ authority and autonomy.
The rights and freedoms of Texas residents.
Economic, social, or cultural dynamics within the state.
Interstate relations and cooperation.
Part 3: Synthesis and Conclusion
Synthesize Findings:
Synthesize your research and analysis to identify common themes or trends across the federal government actions against Texas. Consider similarities, differences, and overarching implications.
You will be writing a research paper for this assignment. It will be a MINIMUM of three FULL pages, and the 4th page will be your works cited page. There will be a few resources in the course readings and videos for this paper, but you are responsible for finding at least three more credible resources (not Wikipedia, etc.) It needs to be 12 point Times New Roman font, double-spaced.
