You are going to find paintings by the following artists, and then you are going to create a text conversation behind it. Create a conversation between the artist and someone else
they may know, OR create a conversation between the individuals in the actual painting,
explaining what led up to the scene in the painting. You can use the fake text message
conversation creator here: https://ifaketextmessage.com/ or if you have another
application you like better, like Canva, thats fine too.
You must create a conversation for THREE of the following artists:
– Caravaggio
– Artemisia Gentileschi
– Bernini
– Jan Vermeer
– Rembrandt
– Diego Velasquez
– Peter Paul Rubens
– Nicholas Poussin
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Pick one of their paintings or sculptures that speak to you and create a text conversation
based on that image
2) The conversation should be at least 4 messages per person (4 imcoming and 4
outgoing), but more is fine.
3) Include the image of your paintings (identified with artist and name) and the image of
your text message in your submission (one document is fine).
4) You can be as creative as you want, but just make sure I can read what you wrote.
HERE’s A EXAMPLE: By the way, Caraviggio killed a tavern boy because he delivered an
artichoke to the table. At the time, artichokes were only for peasants and a sign of poverty.
Caraviggio was angered because he thought the boy was saying he was poor. So I have
Caravaggio talking to a friend with the painting being “What Happned” when the artichoke
was delivered. See where I’m going with this?
