Literature Review The Master’s Thesis topic is the impact of Innovation and Fint

June 14, 2024

Literature Review
The Master’s Thesis topic is the impact of Innovation and Fintech on Credit Risk levels in financials in the USA, but we struggle to find relevant data so it’s still subject to change (not just financials but all US public companies).
I need a literature review for this topic containing at least 20 papers from academic, peer- reviewed journals and one reference book (not a textbook). The research question is not yet strictly defined (let’s say something like: How does the adoption of fintech solutions influence the credit risk levels of financial institutions in the USA?) but to give you better idea what the literature review should be about, our research methodology would be to find and use the following parameters representing innovation and fintech as X variables throughout a given decade:
R&D spending
Whether implement blockchain or not (statista)
Whether holding/investing any tokenized projects
Whether they mention tokenization in their annual shareholder reports (13-F)
We also need market return, market size, book-to-market ratio
And then use 3 different credit risk measures and compute regression models to see what is the relationship.
You will find an Excel file with academic papers that we found relevant to the topic and potentially as reference. You can use them but you are absolutely free to use other papers if you think they are more valuable, I even encourage you to do so.
The Master Thesis should be formatted in Times New Roman 12 (or equivalent) with 1.5 line spacing and 2.5cm margins. Text should be justified. In text-references and the bibliography should use an internationally recognized system of referencing.
References rules:
The References section should typically contain only the works consulted and found relevant and thus cited by the author in the report. The inclusion of an irrelevant item is as much a defect as the exclusion of a relevant one. Each item should be a full reference. All references should be listed in alphabetical order (and numerical order for several references of the same author).
When referring in the text of the research project to items in the bibliography the author’s name and the date of publication should be cited: e.g. “Surveys conducted by Smith (1988) showed ….”
or “A recent study (Smith, 1988, p. 17), has shown …”
For publications by two authors, both are given: e.g .”A recent study (Smith & Jones, 1988) showed …” For publications by three and more authors, the first author is given, followed by et al. A recent study (Smith et al., 1988) showed …”
