The average modern American’s misunderstanding of happiness lies in the misalignment between these deeper sources of contentment and the societal pressures to achieve superficial markers of success. Understanding happiness requires peeling back the layers of societal expectations and exploring the core elements that contribute to a genuinely fulfilling life.
