magine that you are a consultant on organizational development hired to help improve the work-life balance of a company’s workforce. You have been asked to evaluate a published study about how employers can promote a better work-life balance for their employees.
Locate research published on this topic in the University Library or PubMed Central (PMC) from the National Institutes of Health’s National Library of Medicine.
Prepare an evaluation of 525 to 700 words that addresses the following questions:
What is the purpose of the study?
Is the research design consistent with the purpose of the study?
What evidence is there that the scientific method has been applied in this study?
In what way(s) can this study be applied to the real world?
If you were to improve the study, what would you suggest?
Has the research adhered to the APA ethical standards for research studies? If not, which APA standards have not been met or are potentially problematic?
Support your responses with examples.
Cite your sources in the body of your writing and reference any current scholarly sources used to support your assignment.
Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.
Submit your assignment.

Reminders
**Make sure you upload your Word .doc or .docx document into the system for consideration of credit. Uploading an actual paper is required (not links, comments, Google docs links, inaccessible attachments, drafts, etc.) for consideration of credit as reminded in the course since the onset. The document must be uploaded into the system for review and viewing, not linked, uploaded as a separate document, emailed, private messaged, or otherwise not uploaded as a Word .doc or .docx document as required into the system for Safeassign and grading viewing. A paper left in draft is not considered for credit. If the paper is released from draft such that it is fully accessible in the system and otherwise meets guidelines within the grading/late policy window, it will be considered for credit with deductions according to the late policy.
As with all assignments, you are also required to very briefly cite in the body of the writing as well as reference from the required Rooney and Evans (2019) readings for content consideration. Other sources should not be used here beyond the use of the one current (no more than a few years old) peer reviewed journal article of a primary scientific study from the library or PMC. Credit consideration will be based on your substantive review of the current peer reviewed journal article of an actual primary scientific study journal article as well as the required text. Make sure you have reviewed the syllabus, reminders, and announcements regarding assignment expectations prior to submitting the assignment, and double check the SafeAssign report prior to finalizing your submission.
This evaluation of a current peer reviewed journal article of a primary scientific study must be based on a current (no more than 3 years old) fully and directly accessible peer reviewed study article in the library or PMC databases. As I need to review the study article as a part of grading this assignment, the study article you choose must be fully accessible from PMC or from the University library. So, choosing to review a peer reviewed study article that is not immediately available from the library or PMC in full and in English will likely result in considerable deductions for content. To be able to review your study evaluation, I need to be able to immediately access and read the actual original study.
A formal APA style paper is required for this paper assignment, not a comments box comment or paper with general content that is not APA formatted. The link above for the CWE provides an APA template you can use for this assignment. Basic overall APA formatting is required for this paper assignment as well as ensuring the credible very brief intext citations and referencing of the text and the study article. If you want to use the American Psychological Association (2017) Section 8 standards citing and referencing very briefly directly from the code instead of using the text, that is fine as you review your chosen current peer reviewed scientific study article too. After reviewing the syllabus, reminders, and announcements pertaining to assignment expectations that apply to this paper and otherwise related to course and University policies, let me know if you need any further guidance.
