As
a member of a public health advisory committee, you are interested in
determining if regional health funding rates are correlated with disease
rate and doctor visits. Based on the data in the Funding.sav file,
determine if there are statistically significant associations among health care funding (funding), disease rate (disease), and number of doctor visits (visits) measured
in the communities evaluated by the committee.

2.     Detailed ConclusionsClinical researchers carried out a randomized control trial to
determine the benefits of a proposed type of therapy for stroke patients.
Female stroke patients were randomly assigned to one of two experimental groups
(group). The control group received
the standard physical therapy and the treatment group received an additional
emotional therapy. Three months following the treatments, each patient’s
abilities to perform common activities of daily life (ADL) were scored as ordinal variables. Based on the data in the ADL.sav
file, you want to compare the housekeeping
ADL (housekpg) in the two groups (group) to determine if there is a statistically significant
difference in outcome at the end of the trial. Note that the lower the
housekeeping ADL on the ordinal scale, the more improvement was observed at
three months. Did the treatment group seem to improve compared to the control
group?
