Each essay question response needs to be at least 400 words in length. I need at least one reference per essay question.
Question 1: In this context, your assignment is to write an essay that considers ongoing technological innovations (for example, the rise of machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, virtual reality, etc.) and how these are likely to influence and change how we will work and live in the near future. As part of your essay, make sure to include both specific examples and also clear reasoning on why these would likely affect business and society.
Question 2: In the context of Ariely’s arguments on our human frailties, your assignment is to write an essay on how we can best protect our own moral integrity and moral agency. Your essay on this should include some specific actions or steps, along with explanations of those steps, that Ariely has suggested we could take to help us become the moral and virtuous beings that we would ultimately aspire to be.
Question 3: In this context, your task is to write a short essay assessing these different perspectives on the social obligations of business (Friedman vs. the stakeholder view). As part of your essay, make sure to discuss to what extent you believe that these two perspectives are ultimately aligned and to what extent you believe that they are they in conflict. Alao, as part of your essay, make sure that you include some real-world examples to support your arguments and conclusions.
Question 4: In this context, your assignment is first to formally identify a recent news article (published on or after March 1st, 2024) that touches on an ethical dilemma that a specific business, or an industry, either has recently faced or else must face in the near future. Based on the article that you have selected, your task then is to write a short essay identifying and describing the relevant ethical dilemma(s) at hand and discussing the various ethical dimensions of the choices that the business(es) in question either have faced or must face. As part of your answer also make sure that (1) discuss to what extent you believe different approaches to ethics and morality might yield different decisions relating to the issues at hand and (2) how you believe the issues at hand should best be handled.
