Introductory Paragraph-Create an introductory paragraph that catches the reader’s attention based on the reading’s overall main idea. You may want to introduce the idea in the unit question: How do new discoveries and inventions change the world? This paragraph should include the name of the article you have chosen and the author’s name. Become more specific in this paragraph and lead your reader to your thesis statement. Your thesis statement should include, in either a direct or an indirect way, the main ideas of the article that you will discuss in your response paragraphs.
First Body Paragraph: Summary Summarize your reading. If you need to make your summary more than one paragraph, you can make it your first two body paragraphs. Be sure to use good summarizing techniques:
