Professor’s Feedback:
Thanks for submitting a revised version.
As before, there are many strengths in your infographic. I appreciate the inclusion of details on method and participants as requested. The “Issue” section is quite strong, and actually includes some aspects of the findings.
Unfortunately, it continues to be the case that your results section does not actually present the results of the study. The content that is here under “results” addresses prevalence, stating that there is higher prevalence, although the introduction to the article notes the difficulty estimating prevalence in this population and notes that estimates often present lower prevalence, although thought to be underestimated. This section also does not actually focus on the findings. As I said in my earlier feedback “barriers such as Eastern vs western views, parents’ mental health issues, provider bias, lack of knowledge about mental health and EDs, and lack of representation are not mentioned. Facilitators such as intergenerational conversations, psychoeducation, and cultural sensitivity are not identified as findings, although they [were] included in “what can we do.” Your revision here does not even include stigma, which is the one part of the findings that were presented in your prior version. these seem to be presented under “issue.” The text in this section seems disconnected from the article and is worded in ways that raise questions about your authorship and whether this material was actually aimed at this assignment (e.g. “anthropological adversity”).
In addition, there is plagiarism in this infographic in the participant section, where you state:
“Participants were recruited through a variety of methods, including email listservs to culturally relevant student groups, the psychology department research pool, and snowballing techniques.” (taken directly from the article). When you use words that are not your own and present them as yours, then that is plagiarism.
As we discussed in class, the assignment is also missing the one page 8/5×11 version required for printing and campus dissemination on TVs.
