Objective:
The final project aims to assess students’ understanding and application of key learning objectives from the course, particularly focusing on leadership, management theories, and the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within organizational contexts. Students will develop a comprehensive strategic plan for implementing AI technologies in a hypothetical company, demonstrating their ability to apply course concepts to real-world scenarios.
Project Components:
Strategic Plan Presentation (125 Points):
Develop a PowerPoint presentation outlining a strategic plan for integrating AI technologies into a hypothetical company, aligning with course learning objectives.
The presentation should address the following objectives:
Understanding Leadership Theories: Demonstrate knowledge of various leadership theories (e.g., transformational, transactional, servant leadership) and apply them to develop effective leadership strategies for AI adoption.
Management Theory Application: Apply management theories (e.g., change management, project management, organizational behavior) to develop a comprehensive implementation plan for AI integration.
AI Strategy Development: Develop clear objectives for AI integration aligned with organizational goals, supported by theories of strategic leadership and change management.
Cybersecurity Considerations: Address cybersecurity challenges associated with AI integration, incorporating principles of risk management and information security management.
Ethical Frameworks: Discuss ethical frameworks and guidelines for AI usage within the organization, guided by theories of ethical leadership and corporate social responsibility.
Risk Management and Evaluation: Develop strategies for managing risks associated with AI adoption and evaluating the success of the implementation, utilizing theories of decision-making and performance management.
Each slide should demonstrate the application of course concepts to support the proposed strategies and recommendations.
Peer Review (25 Points):
Provide feedback on two peer presentations, evaluating the integration of course learning objectives, clarity of presentation, and overall effectiveness of the strategic plans.
Offer constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement, with a focus on the application of course concepts and theories to real-world scenarios.
Each peer review should be summarized in a brief written response or comment on the respective presentations.
Submission Guidelines:
Presentation: Your PowerPoint presentation should consist of a minimum of 7-10 slides, excluding the title and reference slides. Ensure your slides effectively integrate course concepts to support your strategic plan.
Peer Reviews: Provide written feedback for two peer presentations, focusing on the integration of course learning objectives and the application of theoretical frameworks.
Submission: Choose between a PowerPoint presentation with voiceover or a video submission.
Scoring: Your final project will be evaluated based on the integration of course learning objectives, clarity and coherence of ideas, adherence to submission guidelines, and quality of peer reviews.
Grading Rubric:
Presentation Content (90 points): Integration of course learning objectives, clarity and comprehensiveness of the strategic plan components, and alignment with organizational objectives.
Presentation Delivery (35 points): Effectiveness of the presentation in conveying key information, organization of content, visual appeal, and adherence to time limits.
Peer Reviews (25 points): Thoughtfulness, relevance, and quality of feedback provided to peers, focusing on the integration of course concepts and alignment with organizational goals.
