Paper Prompt: Second Paper
Paper Requirements: Your paper must be written according to the APA 7 guidelines for a student paper, meaning that the grammar, syntax, and citations must follow APA 7 format. You do not need to include an abstract for a student paper, but you do need a properly formatted title page, and references page. YOU MUST INCLUDE CITATIONS BOTH IN-TEXT AND ON THE REFERENCES PAGE! Your paper should include a minimum of 5 different citation sources, though you may certainly use more.
When you cite sources, you MUST paraphrase the source in your own words, unless you are including a direct quote! You may use direct quotes, but they should be used sparingly and integrated into your own writing.
If you use source materials from outside of the course, be certain to cite them correctly. Be sure to tie your arguments back to the main themes that we have discussed in class.
The body of your paper (not including the title and references pages) should be a minimum of 1500 words. You may write more if you choose to do so.
Topic:
Pick a different topic from that of your first paper in the present day that you see as being an example of postmodernism in action (based on what we have learned, so far, about postmodernism.)
If you like, you may analyze a film or novel from a postmodern perspective for this assignment. If you used a film or TV series in your first paper, you may choose a different one for the second paper. (APA 7 includes references for electronic media, webpages, music, films, and so forth.)
Your topic can be something in the public eye (such as some aspect of politics,) an advertising campaign, a popular phenomenon, etc., but be sure to narrow your focus enough to be able to write about it. For example, if you wish to write about a political figure, choose some aspect of that person’s image or behavior that is narrow enough to address in a short paper. YOU MUST CITE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES IN THE TEXT OF YOUR PAPER!
Explain why you chose the topic that you did, and why you believe it is an example of us living in a postmodern world. Be specific in your examples. If you are analyzing a public figure, point to specific things that the person said or did, or something that they posted or released, that you see as being postmodern, and explain why.
please, make sure to write the explanation of why you chose this topic with examples!!
choose any topic besides: “late capitalism and the absurdities of the modern economy “ . i wrote about this in my first paper. thanks!!!
