discussion #1 Browse one of these sites – The Atlantic or New York Times or Mother Jones. Pick one of the statues / monuments that were brought down over the last 3 years in this country. Describe the statue (who was it about or what was the focal point about the statue for those who brought it down). Then using the readings / viewings for this week (Leventhal / Choice program five videos), construct two arguments – one for justifying bringing down the statue (argue why this is important), and another for any alternative to briniging down the statues (e.g., justifying keeping it, changing venue, modifying the statue, framing it alternatively for greater context, etc.) – again, argue why this is important? In your response make sure you use concepts or arguments from the readings. Show that you have done this by citing the page numbers / video titles.
