This is the second of two weeks that has you working on your selected research topic of interest. Before beginning your final copy of this paper, look for any suggestions provided by your instructor in the returned paper from last week.
Below you will find the same procedures as presented during last week’s start. Remember to ask any specific questions you may have from last week. The completed paper will be 2250-2500 words, not including the title page or reference listings. APA writing style expectations are expected for this assignment.
The Proposal Assignment
Requirements:
The problem to be addressed and why it is significant.
The purpose of the proposed study
An initial review of the literature related to the selected research topic, sufficient to inform the researcher of what is, and is not, known about the topic. For this assignment use the information found in your Annotated Bibliography and any other topic specific studies you discovered.
An initial set of research question(s) and hypotheses, as appropriate
Anticipated research methodology (Quantitative or Qualitative) and design which includes:
population and anticipated sample size,
procedures and measures,
hypotheses (if appropriate),
type of data to be collected
level of significance, and
statistical tests and/or trustworthiness options;
Concluding remarks concerning the research potential
Your proposal should be 2000-2500 words. Be sure to completely address each bullet point. There should be six sections, one for each bullet point. Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper. Support your ideas in your proposal with at least five (5) citations from the text and outside credible resources. Make sure to reference the citations using the APA writing style for the proposal. The cover page and reference page do not count towards the minimum word amount.
