Do not summarize the literature; writing must display critical and analytical thinking and writing skills.

Structure: I want each of you to make the decisions of how to structure this fourth and final major paper. As Honors students, you can make your own logical and creative decisions on the structure: the number of paragraphs and how many sentences to go into each paragraph. You must have a strong introductory method in the paper, as well as a sense of conclusion and importance at the conclusion.
Primary Sources: Relevant quoted passages from Salinger’s novel itself.
Secondary Sources: You should have at least two to three strong secondary sources that give interesting and insightful critical information on your topic. These would be critical analysis from scholars and other experts in the field of literature, history, sociology, and psychology. Especially Literary Critics.
