This essay is half a research essay and half an essay about my own process for our project. In my project I was the controlling the lighting. Helping with various aspects like only filming in certain areas of the park so that the sun glare would be good.
Each student will write a paper including the research used for the specific area that you will create for the project/presentation.
Times New Roman, double spaced, size 12 font
On the upper left hand side of the first page: First and last name, Professor’s name, date, class and section
Proper header with last name and page numbers
Include a reference page in MLA format with a minimum of 2-3 sources. Observe proper MLA in-text citation.
Your paper should be no more than 4 pages in length with a maximum 1000 words and a minimum of 500 words.
DUE ON APRIL 30.
This paper is both a research paper and a personal narrative. Therefore, it is fine to use I, Me and My, as you should be talking about your own personal experience with the project and the research you put into it.
What does research mean? It means works/writings/videos/interviews you have found on your own time as part of the class work prior, during or after the duration of your group project. Did you read up on your job before you began project? Did you read about what you could have done differently afterwards? Did you watch any beginner videos about how to help your team? These are the questions to ask yourself.
The paper that goes with the presentation should read and sound like a research paper with MLA standards. There should be a paper for each group member on one of the specific areas we have studied but not limited by these.
Paper prompt. It should consist of a thorough investigation into the theme and concepts of the piece through the lens of the specific area of design or participation. Use specific research and examples of what the design would be if you had unlimited resources and time. The length should be commensurate with the gravity of the project.
Where can I find sources? To find a newspaper, search for the newspaper name under the Journals tab in the search box on https://library.sdsu.edu/Links to an external site.
For example, just enter New York Times into the search box. You will then see a list of all of the holdings for that newspaper, including those that have online access.
You can use the search box at the top to search by title or author if you like, or use the Choose an issue to view dropdown to select by date.
When it comes to citing your sources in the references, make sure you use the permalink and not the link from the address bar. For the ProQuest databases one of the databases that provides access to the New York Times, click on the All Options link in the top right of the page when you are in the result of an article that you want to use. You will see a link at the top, use that link.
