mentioned above (consider using one of the readings you like better as a point of departure) and
offer a solution to that problem. As you develop your ideas, remember, you must analyze the
situation that is directly pertinent to your experiences or that of your family, relatives,
community members, and other real-world contexts based on your learning experiences. Doing
so would help you personalize this topic to show that it is a real problem, provide a viable and
well-defined solution to the problem, and discuss how your solution should be implemented. The
issue of racial or social inequality is vast, so you should narrow your focus to one specific issue
of race/class disparity.
I have a brief format of how this essay should go:
Introduction – introduce the problem of racism in America (you can talk about how it’s systemic racism & how racism has been integrated into American history)
Problem – explain how racism is a problem
Body paragraph – talk about Japanese internment camps, the history and depth of how awful it was for them. Talk about how the government made a huge mistake with doing this
Body paragraph – talk about how racism is prevalent today, how the Temecula Valley School district tried to ban critical race theory & how the students protested against this
Body paragraph – another example of racism
Solution paragraph- give multiple solutions to systemic racism and how we can fix this issue, give evidence to support
