Organizing the Argument: Organize your argument into a structured essay format, following the conventions of academic writing which you have been practicing thus far. The essay should include an introduction with a clear statement of the opposing position, body paragraphs that present supporting evidence and analysis, and a conclusion that summarizes key points and reinforces the significance of the opposing viewpoint.
Integration of Sources: Incorporate three relevant sources to bolster the opposing argument and provide credibility to this counterposition. Cite all sources. 
Critical Engagement: Students should demonstrate a critical engagement with the original thesis by addressing potential counterarguments and acknowledging opposing viewpoints. 
Clarity and Coherence: The essay should be well-written, with clear and concise prose, logical transitions between paragraphs, and coherent argumentation. Think about such useful phrases as on the other hand, in contrast with, however, etc.
Process Reflection Addendum: Upon completing this segment, leave a four-space gap and use the subheading, “Process Reflection.”  Now write a final minimum one-page reflection upon what it was like for you to write against your initial position. What did you learn? How did the process help to either shift or solidify your original stance? Explain why in detail.  
Length and Formatting: The essay should be 3-4 pages in length, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins and Times New Roman, 12-point font).
