In Facebook/ Meta, judging from the internal documents discussed in the required readings, what patterns have emerged from the different positions of Mark Zuckerberg, and those of Facebook’s integrity staff? How is executive power in decision-making processes in week 11 and 13 related to the current backsliding (week 14) of policies on content moderation, suspension of users, transparency, staff layoffs, etc.? Be sure to differentiate between policies at various platforms like X, Meta/Facebook/Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.

AI POLICY
In this course do NOT use AI apps such as ChatGPT or Bard to generate a draft of a part of an answer that you submit as your own work. Such apps will not utilize specific information from the specialized required readings in this course. Your answers must show familiarity with all of the required readings. An AI generated text will not do this, and will instead generate general, unsupported conclusions that are not focused on following the instructions and issues on the assignment sheet. Or AI will generate a list of statements, some of which are false “hallucinations,” that that are not focused on a theme and are not ordered and organized for presentation to an audience of educated readers. Turning in such a low quality of work, in and of itself, no matter how it was constructed and revised, will result in your being given a failing grade.

Your paper will thereby earn a score in the A range, with the actual number depending upon how well the many details and examples you cite are synthesized into main points, reflecting concepts in the reading, that directly and cogently answer questions (a) and (b). Some of you have been doing this for past papers and are getting impressively good at it!
