While topics in abnormal psychology make the news almost daily, reporters do not always present research results in an accurate manner. Your task in this paper is to find a newspaper or magazine article from the past year that discusses at least one of the disorders addressed in this module. The primary focus of this paper is to evaluate the quality of information that would generally be available to the public, who don’t know to look at specialized information sources. The article should be at least a few pages long.
This assignment has two parts:

2. Summary:
The article was about the symptoms of someone who has
bipolar disorder. It also addressed different versions of the mental
illness someone may suffer from such as bipolar I and bipolar II. This
article head destigmatizes bipolar disorder by speaking about a famous
evening comedian who is open and public about her bipolar diagnosis to
help others realize this can affect anyone you may know from your
coworker, family member, or even someone others make look up to such as
this comedian. The different types
of bipolar disorders were explained for a better understanding of each
diagnosis as well and the treatments available to assist someone suffering
from bipolar disorder were explained such as mood stabilizers,
antipsychotic mediation, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Some holistic
approaches to help cope with bipolar disorders include exercising, yoga,
meditation, and if this individual is religious their faith can play a role
as well. These tools can be used in correlation with mood stabilizers or
antipsychotic medications. This article helps shine a light on how common
mental illnesses are within society, especially for those suffering from
bipolar disorder.
