In this reflection paper, you are going to share your thoughts
on the chapter and the article below:
1.
Chapter 5 (Fairness)
2.
A scholarly article on fairness in assessment of your choosing.
(The article can be an electronic or paper article, but it must be scholarly,
an article from a publication that one would need to be in academia and/or
education to access. Not from a publication that can be purchased with general
magazines or newspapers. General magazines and newspapers can be used to
supplement information and be cited but will not count towards the minimum 2
required citations. They would be additional.)
Instructions
Compose a 400-word reflective essay and
include two in-text citations (one from the article AND one
from the chapter ). Check the following for information on how to use in-text citations.

Submit it through the assignment link.
To complete the assignment, read the chapters and article and
take notes. Make sure to pinpoint the important ideas and concepts.
Then, write your reflection by summarizing the main concept of
your notes to see if your essay captures the article’s main ideas. Please pay
special attention to the article headings, especially “What do actual teachers
need to know” in the chapters or the “Results” and “Discussion” in the article
since these are the sections in which the authors report the main findings and
make inferences based on the results.
After you have finished reading, brainstorm by reflecting on the
questions below. Write in an essay format; do not respond
question by question.
· How did the article
affect you?
· What can pre-service
teachers learn from the article and chapters?
· Has the article changed
your mind about using assessments in class? If so, explain.
· Does the article relate
to anything from your past or current reading/ learning experiences?
Last, review your reflection paper and do a spelling and grammar
check.
