Part 3 – Paper (280 points)
The purpose of the paper is to document your experience of practicing the 3 actions/activities, and to connect that experience to the research pertaining to the types of well-being activities you chose. You will also connect what you learned from your experience to any aspect of the ‘eastern’ perspective on well-being.
The paper should contain the following sections, and MUST CONTAIN HEADINGS FOR EACH SECTION! IF HEADINGS ARE NOT INCLUDED A 20 POINT DEDUCTION WILL RESULT! The section headings are in bold, as follows.  You must include all required information indicated for each section, in order to get full points.

Summarize the 3 actions/activities you practiced.
State whether or not you feel that your practice improved your well-being.
Summarize 1 or 2 of the most important things you learned from your review of the research relating to your activities.
Summarize 1 or 2 of the most important aspects of an eastern perspective that relate to your activities.
Summary of Practice(30 pts)
Describe each of your three activities in detail: exactly what you did, when, where how often, for how long, etc. You may include a graph or table here if it helps demonstrate the frequency of your activity (not required).
Observations (30 pts)
Describe what you noticed/observed/experienced throughout the 6 weeks of practicing each activity. For example, was it difficult to begin?  Did it get easier or harder as the weeks progressed?  Did you notice any resistance?  Did you need extra motivation?  How was your mood? Did others around you make comments about what they observed? Other observations?
Analysis (40 pts)
Re-take the Well-Being Short Assessment to measure your current well-being score. Compare it to your original score from Part 1. Share your scores. Share your analysis of the change (or lack of) in scores. Did the score go up, down, or stay the same?  Did the practices/activities impact the score?  Why/why not?
Did the practices impact your overall well-being? How do you know?
What were some of the obstacles to practicing the activities? Did you anticipate these obstacles, or were they a surprise?
Describe what you might do differently with the 3 activities if you were to try them again.
Will you continue to implement these practices in your life? Why/why not?
Review of Research(30 pts)
Discuss 3 peer-reviewed journal articles with topics that pertain to your categories/activities. Include in-text citations in APA of each article (Author, Year)
For each one, discuss how the information helps you understand your experience of practicing your activities.
Eastern Perspective(30 pts)
Discuss 3 principles of eastern philosophy that help you to better understand your experience practicing your activities. These 3 principles can come from any eastern philosophy – we don’t necessarily need to have discussed them in class.  You are welcome to use any information from the Chase, Tolle, or Collard books as source material and documentation.  You can also look for reputable sources elsewhere to help document your 3 principles.  Make sure to cite at least one source in APA (Author, Year) for each principle.
For each one, discuss how the perspective helps you understand your experience of practicing your activities.
Conclusion (40 pts)
Summarize what you have learned from your practice, research, and eastern perspective about well-being
Based on what you have learned, would you recommend the 3 activities you practiced to others? Why/why not?  What advice would you give to others who wanted to practice them?
What would you recommend to others seeking to improve their well-being, based on what you have learned?
Looking ahead, what other area/category of well-being would you consider working on next in your life? How can you apply what you have learned from this project towards improving your ability to be happy and well?
