Research this area of interest by utilizing the class text and notes, the internet, its role in other organizations, etc.
Review material covered during the quarter regarding this topic
Consider the different facets of this component of Human Resource Management and its connection to other divisions of the HR department.
Option 1:
If you work in an organization now:
Describe your organization, its structure, and your current role.
How does this function currently exist in your organization?
If this function of HR does not exist in your organization, how can the functions of this component be successfully applied to your organizational structure?
If this function of HR does exist in your organization, how can your in-depth knowledge/pursuit of this component improve your organization and its employees?
How would you apply your knowledge of this component of HR in your work situation?
What would you like to change? What would you like to keep?
Create two Mind Maps:
Provide a visual representation of how Human Resources is currently structured in your organization.
How well are all the current functions performing?
Describe how the different facets of HR interact with each other.
Assess: how is it working? How can you improve upon it? What can you learn from its current successes? Failures?
Display the interrelationship of your chosen HR component with other facets of Human Resources in your organization, i.e., how Talent and Development relates to Recruitment and Selection, etc. Display a visual representation of that interrelationship.
