Look at the short stories listed below, choose the one you like most, and develop a thesis statement based on your interpretation.
-showcase critical thinking and writing skills
-write a seven-paragraph critical analysis paper in response to it, citing (directly quoting or paraphrasing) the corresponding textual source to help introduce your points of argument and synthesize your ideas based on your reading of the text.
YOU MUST USE AT LEAST ONE OUTSIDE SOURCE THAT SUPPORTS YOUR ESSAY APPROACH AND INCLUDE IT IN A WORKS CITED PAGE ALONG WITH THE TEXT YOU CHOSE.
Suggestions to find outside sources: JStor ,Google scholar, New York Times, Anything .edu or .org (Stay away from personal blogs or websites that are not reputable)

Additional Information: FOLLOW MLA FORMAT FOR THIS ESSAY: Create a unique title for your paper that also includes the name of the text.
Proper citation for all direct quotes. Remember, when writing a supporting paragraph, follow these steps: 2-3 sentences to introduce your point, a citation that backs up your point, then at least 2-3 sentences explaining how the citation backs up your point (this is called synthesis)
Do not use contractions in formal writing.
Example: don’t = do not/can’t = cannot/isn’t = is not
Avoid phrases such as “I think” or “in my opinion”
If you wish to write more than seven paragraphs, please feel free but exceed a total of ten paragraphs.
