In this assignment, create a detailed PowerPoint presentation as an executive summary of the city’s response
considerations to a terrorist incident involving an improvised explosive device (IED) that takes place in your local
community.
Consider that this executive summary is being presented to city or county leadership as part of an after-action report or
exercise as well as research on what worked and what did not go well. Use the guidelines below as you create your
presentation.
Describe the safety considerations for the response operations.
Identify the necessary response resources and personnel.
Discuss the resources required if the response exceeds the capabilities of your jurisdiction.
Discuss the recommendations that you will make to address the gaps in your area’s response capabilities for an IED.
You must use the audio function to describe information on each slide as if you were presenting in person. For additional

Your completed presentation must be at least nine slides in length, not counting the title and reference slides. You must use
audio to fully explain your slides—at least 30 seconds of audio per slide. Be sure to elaborate in your audio; do not simply
repeat the text from your slides.
