One of the most attractive aspects of a career in industrial and organizational psychology is that there are multiple career paths from which to choose. At this point in your educational journey, it is important to preview the career paths available to industrial and organizational psychology professionals. Use the following information to draft a mock job description and resume of a highly qualified candidate. We have explored leadership theories this week and how strong leadership can make an impact on an organization level. In this assignment, you will explore how IO jobs may require specific leadership skills on an individual level.

Pick one of the four career paths: Consulting, Government, Academia, or Industry.
For each of these paths, SIOP has provided a list of job titles. For each job title, you will find a list of Top Competencies and Top Experiences. Use this list to familiarize yourself with these careers. Then, choose one of the following jobs:
Assessment Specialist
Data Scientist
Associate Professor of IO psychology
Talent Manager
Using job descriptions, job advertisements, SIOP’s resources and/or O*Net, introduce your job on the first page with a brief description, then craft a mock job description. You will need to put these competencies and experiences in your own words; you will not receive credit for cutting and pasting this information.
The job description should include:
Job Title
Career Path Family (Consulting, Government, Academia, or Industry)
Fictional Organization likely to hire this job title.
Brief description of role, including how this role contributes to both organizational strategy and outcomes.
List of qualifications (5-7).
List of major job duties (5-7).
Then, create a resume of a fictional job candidate that is highly qualified for this position. This resume should include the following:
Name and fictional address, phone number.
Resume objective or summary of qualifications.
Educational qualifications.
Three relevant work experiences, including the job title and brief summary of the role/duties.
You may use one of the resume templates from Microsoft Word. Make sure that your resume and job description are properly formatted and professionally presented.
Details: Your assignment should be a 2-4 page expository essay, not including the title and reference pages, and should include the following elements:
Title page: Provide your name, title of assignment, course and section number, and date.
Body: Answer all the questions in complete sentences and paragraphs.
Your responses should reflect professional writing standards, using proper tone and language. The writing and writing style should be correct and accurate, and reflect knowledge of skills and practice of the profession.
Reference page: Sources listed in current APA format.
Include a minimum of three scholarly or academic sources to support your responses and conclusions.
Use Arial or Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced and left aligned.
Use standard 1″ margins on all sides.
Use APA 7th formatting and citation style.
