This module’s Portfolio
Project will require you to create two maps using the materials included
in Portfolio Projects
Part 1-4. Your Portfolio Project should meet the following requirements:
• Include: title page
• Each map will fit on an
8.5” x 11” page
• Each map to be drawn
close to scale
• Label important
entities described within each map
Map 1 – Map to focus on
the entire 100 hectares provided to the Uduku people and include:
• Show the wooded areas
and potential farming areas
• Show the boundaries of
the formal camp site
• Show the spring
(located outside of the boundaries of the camp) and how this connects
with the camp
• Show the solid waste
dump (located outside of the boundaries of the camp)
• Show the road to Yoreko
(located outside of the boundaries of the camp)
• Include anything else
important to this response
Map 2 – Map to zoom in
and focus on the formal camp and include the following:
• Layout shelters
(Include clustering for communal cooking and fire separation)
• Access to water points
• Toilets and wash
stations
• Solid waste collection
stations
• Health Clinic
• Facility to be used as
a church, school, and community meeting place.
• Include small area
small businesses could set-up
• Include office space
for camp management and CIR
• Include placement of
solar lighting for camp safety
• Include anything else
important to this response
