In the mist of quarantine of when I was sixteen, I found myself watching kids at my sister house, thinking what to do while looking that the kids. But little did I know this moment would be the start of a journey into self-discovery. As I reflect on the events that would happen during quarantine, I’ve really seen how those experiences shaped who I am now.
In the beginning of quarantine, I was coming off a trouble injury form playing a basketball game just from that injury I was in the house for 2 months before quarantine started, I was stuck fingering out what to do from being in the house for 2 months when they told us that we had to stay home because of covid I was in disbelief and filled with confusion. So, I went to my sister’s house to get a hold of my mind and to clear it up.
While being over her house I was just over there to clear my mind until she started to give me money to watch my niece and nephew’s. While getting paid to watch them I was able to find myself to do the things. This allowed me to find out what I liked to do by myself to love fashion, so I investigated what goes into making clothes like how a shirt is made and how to deconstruct pants short and how to tailor my own clothes. I even bought my own sewing machine, so I started making my making my own clothes. I was able to make hoodies, shorts, and shirts.
