Instruction:
Students will each be responsible for giving a Case Study Presentation on an individual artist or group that is relevant to that week’s theme (this week theme is “Hurricane”), but who is not the Artist Spotlight. This will take the format of a 15-minute, informal oral presentation, which will include a brief introductory background to the artist, but students should primarily focus on visual strategies, key themes, and possible interpretations raised by no fewer than 3 works considered.
Case Study Presentations should include a PowerPoint with Bibliography slide,
including at least 3 sources.

This week, our class will cover the topic of “Hurricane” and I have to make a presentation
about it.
This week topic: The hurricane is one of the most feared meteorological phenomena on earth, and one unavoidable when discussing the Caribbean. This week we discuss the destructive power of the hurricane in an era of climate emergency and predatory neoliberal colonialism, with an eye on Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane María (2017).
